Emotion flashcards are useful for teaching children to identify their feelings, using different words to express them or helping them recognize and understand other people's feelings. Learning empathy as well as self-expression in a supportive environment is very important in early childhood learning.

As your child engages active recall and confidence-based repetition, flash cards allow for another process called spaced repetition. This technique states that spacing out intervals between studying the same information again will increase the chances of recalling that information, and flash cards do this naturally.
